I was a stay-at-home mom & wife to a United States Marine. We’ve been married for 27 of his almost 29-year career (current as of April 2024), with 3 children who are now all grown up and a grandson.

I started doing DIY projects around the house and got good at decorating. I moved around quite a bit with the husband being in my military and I noticed that at regular stores, I couldn’t find décor that fit my personality & sense of humor. I wanted everything in my house to be meaningful, but also something that we could relate to, so I started creating personalized home décor. Whenever we had visitors, they wanted to know where we got our decorations, because they were unique and tailored to our family. I got so many inquiries that I wanted to try helping people project their own personalities onto their gifts and decorations.

I started my business 1 year ago. After 11 military moves over the past 27 years, we decided to move to the great state of Texas.

So here I am today, the owner of K Cole’s Laser Engraving LLC, which is totally different from my beginnings. I started where I was, used what I had, did what I could, and K Cole’s came to life. Even though I started just decorating my house, because I was doing something I enjoyed, it led me to a world of endless possibilities.
